THE USA JOURNEY
The MENSPIRE Education team first flew to Portland, Oregon in January 2017, on their first ever USA tour. Global Creative Director Josh Lamonaca and Co Director of the Ireland MENSPIRE Academy Glenn McGoldrick were the first to perform an evening seminar, held at a local salon. Over 30 barbers attended eagerly in anticipation of the trends that were due to be presented for the very first time in the USA.
After a completely overwhelming experience of success, not only in Portland but along the whole tour, visiting San Francisco, Miami, Dallas and Los Angeles. Kyle Tate was amongst the attendees at the Portland Seminar, as well as modelling for Glenn during the class.
Josh and Glenn maintained contact with Kyle and began to re-arrange another visit in the summer of 2017 to provide a hands on course of which saw visitors all over the USA come to participate. The following 3 years saw Kyle continue to host the MENSPIRE Education team in Portland assisting and arranging courses. He also travelled to the U.K. and Ireland to further train and develop under the mentorship of Josh Lamonaca and Glenn McGoldrick. Kyle intended to bring MENSPIRE to the states and worked towards this goal throughout the 3 years, hoping that one day he could help spread our philosophy and methodology.
After years of preparation, Kyle lead MENSPIRE Salons into America during the pandemic in 2020, building a team of 5 stylists before now bringing the MENSPIRE Academy to Portland, Oregon to enable America into the culture of the MENSPIRE Education system.

Kyle Tate

Kyle's all round capabilities with Men’s hair makes him one of the most influential barbering educators in the MENSPIRE Academy. With a wealth of experience working closely year on year with the MENSPIRE Artistic team, Kyle is now ready to hand over his knowledge and experience. Kyle's key skills include understanding clients needs, how to build a strong clientele, and how to work at optimal levels at salon speed.
Sean Moore
Director of Education
Sean plays a pivotal role in shaping the direction in the U.S academy. With his extensive background teaching hair in the UK and internationally, Sean brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his position. Based at the home of MENSPIRE in the UK, Sean collaborates closely with Josh Lamonaca. Sean's expertise lies in teaching strong technical foundations and theoretical understanding. Sean has traveled to Portland on numerous occasions to ensure a cohesive curriculum between the UK and U.S academies. With his extensive teaching experience and passion for hair, Sean is well-positioned to guide and shape the educational direction in America.
Eddy Rodriguez
Educator
Eddy’s skillful knowledge of and application of fading sets him apart from others in the industry. His strong foundation of MENSPIRE’s methodology and structure grants him the ability to skillfully teach the core concepts of MENSPIRE’s education. Eddy’s essential skills include growing clientele while maintaining expert application of clipper work.
