ACADEMIC DEVELOPMENT - 5 DAY COURSE

Academic Development Programme / 5 DAY COURSE 

This one week course will cover a variety of modern techniques that is currently applied to the fast growing men’s hairdressing market. You will get to see the technical approach the educators take to achieve on trend hairstyles we see in the salon and creatively.

This course will take you through the depths of understanding layering, graduation to fading and styling through our fundamentals to training the mind to a whole new concept of thinking. Expect to be able to reflect and to process new information in a short and efficient time.

The course will include live demonstrations, practical sessions, diagram training, theory and philosophy, written exams and more. At MENSPIRE we truly believe that Education is paramount and is the key to unlock the visual mind of the artist in which we are.

SESSION 1
CORE OF MENSPIRE

This is our most favoured course that entails demonstrations, consultation and step by step guided instructed practical session. All encompassing this first day will give the learner an insight to the fundamental teachings at MENSPIRE to help build confidence all round.

SESSION 2
FUNDAMENTALS OF LAYERING

This lesson we will see learners going through the 3 fundamental shapes in men's hairdressing followed by diagram training on provided head sheets to encourage a visual and technical understanding.

SESSION 3

FUNDAMENTALS OF GRADUATION

Session 3 students will be learning how to approach graduation through the use of scissors building weight and understanding connectivity. Students will grasp the understanding of pure graduation through when, why and how.

SESSION 4
FUNDAMENTALS OF FADING

Session 4 will cover the fundamental principles of fading through the mindful process between tools and techniques. Discover how to control weight and remove weight through understanding when and when not to use particular methods. Through this session you will find out what we do to get continuous results by demonstration theory and practical.

SESSION 5
'Draw it, Speak it, Perform it’… Then Shoot it!

Session 5 will cover all aspects of the previous days, we will get to see how all of what has been demonstrated harmonise to show full effect of the cutting methodology that epitomises the brand MENSPIRE and how we obtain the imagery that represents the culture and nature of our styles and looks with our models. Each student will have the chance to present their model guided by our educators.  

FOR THIS COURSE YOU WILL NEED TO BRING YOUR OWN EQUIPMENT FOR YOUR OWN COMFORT OF USE. THE MENSPIRE ACADEMY DOES NOT PROVIDE TOOLS ON THIS COURSE.
